本艳情片为李翰祥编导，由两个单元故事组成。首个故事讲述柳宣教(姜南 饰)策划了一个破玉通禅师(岳华 饰)「色戒」之奇计，着美艳妓女红莲(余莎莉 饰)向玉通大施色诱攻势。第二个故事讲述少女冯玉华(邵音音 饰)之母冯孙氏(陈萍 饰)欠下九尾狐(王莱 饰)一笔钱无法偿还，被逼做妓女还债。後冯孙氏因性病死去，遗下一笔债务以及殓葬费须玉华偿还；玉华无奈，只好踏上母亲所走过之路……
