该剧改编自LINE WEBTOON台湾作者Pony的同名漫画，故事围绕活了万年的琪琪以交易时间延续生命，而见证无数人为欲望付出各种代价：女雕刻师用禁术复制前男友并囚禁；宇航员出任务遇难，与外星生物小白透过漫画交流并找到重返地球的希望；流浪汉启汉与面具人交易他的未来，最终困在无限循环的“今天”。最终琪琪使用神秘黑盒子让身患绝症的女儿生命可停留在最幸福的瞬间。
主人公长谷大河曾是备受期待的大学田径新星，却因成绩不佳而结束了跑步生涯。如今他在小料理店"田实"打工，当店主让他负责开发新菜品时，他逐渐在工作中找到了价值。另一边，为学习动画专程从韩国来日留学的研究生朴琳，终日为课题创作奔波。好不容易在截止日前提交作品，却收到宿舍解约通知要求搬离。在东京找房并非易事，琳逐渐身心俱疲。机缘巧合下，二人在"田实"相遇。琳品尝了大河亲手捏的饭团后深受感动，疲惫的身心都被这份温暖治愈。而大河则被琳享用美食时灿烂的笑容深深吸引。
In the small village of St. Mary Mead, Colonel and Mrs. Bantry, owner of the local manor - Gossington Hall is shocked when one morning a young lady's body is found in the library. They call in the police who soon run up against a brick wall, only finding out that the body is that of a dancer in London who the Bantry's didn't even know.
