一说到检察官，会想到什么？正气凌然、严肃少语。但这些词在马惠丽（金素妍 饰）身上则全不适用。记忆力超强的马惠丽中意的是光鲜亮丽的服饰和鞋子，向往的是时尚界。但出身名门的她一早就被规划好了人生，在父母的安排下，走上了检察官之路。但惠丽则对于什么是正义，为什么要做检察官则一无所知。对检察官毫无热情的惠丽，却阴差阳错地解决了一起又一起的案件。这幕后的推手则是律师出身的徐宇人（朴施厚 饰）。徐宇人可谓一天二十四小时都围绕着惠丽，对于惠丽烦心的事都及时出手帮忙。这背后的原因则牵扯到二十年前宇人父亲和惠丽父亲的事。 父辈的恩怨让宇人在冰与火中徘徊。宇人逐渐偏离了最初接近惠丽的目的，而不知情的惠丽则毫无意外的投入了这场恋爱，殊不知真相正在慢慢逼近她……
10 years after Martin Shaw turned the beloved Inspector Gently novels into a hit BBC One TV series, filming has begun on two final feature-length episodes. Back in action one last time will be Shaw as the eponymous inspector, who is tested like never before just as he winds down his career. In the first of two films - Gently Liberated - the inspector and his trusted allies Bacchus (Lee Ingleby) and Coles (Lisa McGrillis) are brought in to investigate a possible "miscarriage of justice". However, their final case in Gently and the New Age has the Met's new Special Investigations Squad boss Lister bringing in the inspector to investigate high levels of corruption within the force. Both of these mini-movies will be set in 1970, as the women's liberation movement and the rise of the Conservative Party bring clashing values to Britain.
