　　空军某场站基层卫生队有这样几个人：高队长（高亚麟 饰）人近50，性情直爽不失狡猾，有较丰富的行医经验，生活中烦心事虽不少，却颇为知足；闫护士长（闫妮 饰）刀子嘴豆腐心，工作能力强，但也爱没事瞎操心；李医生（郑恺 饰）是个帅哥，多年前落选部队航校飞行学员后 改念军医专科，医学理论基础虽弱但实际经验较多；刘医生（刘敏 饰）是闫护士长的护校同窗，护校毕业接着念了军医本科，颇有小资情调，与闫护士长常爱互相挤兑，与李医生也是欢喜冤家；殷护士（殷桃 饰）是本科毕业的高学历护理人员，外表靓丽的她常被误认为是来慰问的文工团演员；新到的护士小张（张乔玫 饰）和亚男（刘思言 饰）一个来自四川农村，一个来自东北小城市，护理技术及性格都是基本相反。这些人与连部战士一起，不围绕厨房围绕病房发生了一个个令人捧腹的故事。
